Stuff can move in transit so reaseating the RAM was wise. I would suggest reseating the graphics card as well. You might also reseat the M.2 drives - without damaging the heatsink pads if you can. Also check all connectors and cables - at both ends.
Windows 11 can be installed on non-compatible systems but Microsoft have said that they will not be supported (so no updates).
I've abandoned Wubuntu because it's really neither one thing nor the other. IF you set it up with all the apps the users needs and all the user does is use those apps...
Before you reinstall try the following....
Open an elevated command prompt and enter the following command...
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
If that generates any kind of error message then a clean install is your best option. If it completes without error then enter the following...
Well it's installed. First impression are good. Once it's setup my wife will find it exactly like Windows. Where it's different of course is when you want to change settings and configurations. Then you see Linux.
I've installed a couple of Windows apps as though this was Windows (so from the...
I have a laptop that won't run Windows 11 and a wife who can only work with Windows 11. Asking her to also figure out a Linux desktop would be pushing things a bit. That's why a Linux that looks like Windows is interesting. I imagine Wubuntu will appeal to a great many people with non-Windows 11...
I had something similar many decades ago. I was contracted to setup a new security system on an IBM mainframe for a large well-known organisation (currently being sold to a Czech billionaire) in Chesterfield. I pointed out to the head honchos in the preliminary meeting that the security...
I really hate it when we don't know the cause of the problem. It could have been a driver issue certainly but 'uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers a few times' doesn't sound like a long-term fix. Still, as long as you're happy.
If it does fail again please upload the Sysnative data...
Thanks for that @SpyderTracks! I just tried the export and there is a ton of apps that clearly winget doesn't support, many of them Microsoft packages....
One other point that tripped me up. The package manager cannot updates apps that are open. I had the Edge browser open whilst the winget upgrade --all was running and Edge was not updated, though it did update when I closed and restarted it.
There probably isn't a lot of point using winget to upgrade just one package, where it becomes really useful is that it can upgrade all packages with updates in one go. After upgrading 7-Zip then, I had 13 packages with updates...
PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> winget upgrade
Name...
I guess we all at one time or another wonder whether all our apps are up to date. Many apps do an auto update check, but often only when you start them, which means that apps you use only rarely need updating next time you use them. I have always been wary of third-party apps that claim to keep...
I'm not saying it's your fault, I'm just pointing out the way things are. There is a reason why most of us on here use PCS to build a PC to our own spec, after taking advice from experts like @SpyderTracks - especially if you want a high-end gaming PC.
TBH, if you were buying an office-type PC...
I do sympathise but it's not just about Intel. It's never wise to buy a pre-built PC from anyone, because they are always built down to a price that's attractive. Typically they will contain a higher end CPU and GPU to attract buyers but the rest of the (essential) components are often only just...
Can you run the Sysnative data collector app again please and upload the new output?
Also, enter the command perfmon /rel into the Run command box. The Reliability Monitor will open, please post a screenshot of that display.
