No love for the underdog? I'd say the same for AMD GPU's as is true for their CPU's at this point (and given their pricing, here a couple of months ago and elsewhere, I'd have taken my 6800XT over an equal or higher priced 3070 every time)
Sure, worse ray tracing performance and no DLSS (yet)...
You definitely don't necessarily absolutely need the H150i tbh. I got a 5800X, cooled by a H100i Capellix. Temps are fine, aside from my initial surprise at the higher idle/low load temps this CPU has compared to my old 6700K, generally sticking to 70C whether gaming, benchmarking or stress...
Honestly, I'd have thought not and I almost went with a BeQuiet case myself as a second choice from PCS's selection. Seems you can have good airflow/cooling or a quiet case but not really great at both. I did a good bit of research and found that while a BeQuiet cut the running sound of my specs...
I heard that the 4000D Airflow in white was available since my order. Kind of a shame as that case looks amazing with those grey accents.
Not too sore over it though, white cases would probably best with lighter (if not white) parts inside to match and everything I have in my black 4000D Airflow...
Well, I can recommend the Samsung series of gaming worthy UHD TV's. I have the 55" Q80T. Haven't gamed too much on it admittedly though good so far and reviews for it's price and range were very good, but it's also just a great TV for TV stuff too. Apparently it's implementation of Freesync...
I actually thought the same thing but those in the link are ML RGB Pro. Over in Corsairs support forum they detail the Elite Capellix coolers as packaged with ML Elite RGB fans (which you can't currently buy outside of with those coolers)
The difference is the ML Elite have 8 LED's (like the SP...
Hi all, it's me... back again to update. Has it really been a month?!?!
Well, you'll see what my build ended up being in my signature below, plus bits I had/have yet to add when it arrives on Monday.
Took some doing and I had to amend the order a few times due to malarkey with the...
I've had to do this for my mum so damn often over the years.
Firstly, she goes and buys some older spec laptop of some guy she knows off Freecycle groups or something that fixes up and flogs 'em.
Alright, it's a Core 2 Duo maybe or a newer non Core Intel... I dunno anymore tbh... and 4Gb RAM...
Same. I read the other version can deteriorate a lot quicker and crack or peel. Also probably not as breathable when summer comes and around here becomes Florida in late summer for a month or two...
Not too bad tbh. They come with a little head/neck rest memory foam cushion with an adjustable strap. Does the job ok with my spinal issues and at least fits the chair unlike some and can be shifted one handed for comfort quickly.
In case you're wondering, for lower down, my model (Omega)...
Should just mention, slight typo in my last comment re the H115 being the same length as the H100... of course it's not, silly CMP01... I missed that in my editing, sorry... it's actually 280mm vs 240mm for the H100 and ilk. Not as hefty as a 360mm but still, a potential issue for more confined...
H150 is as wide the H100 and all have same depth afaik (I will be checking that later) The H150 should fit the same spots as H100 only the length is different. Afaik that'll fit the top and front slots of either 4000D/5000D with possibly only minor fiddling around. Populating both top and front...
For the 4000D/5000D cases, Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM and any Corsair H100 cooler with fans at least there are no probs. Plenty pics of builds on pcpartpicker with all three doing fine. It's a close fit, sure, but still an easy fit (and not forced)
If it was a H115 cooler then maybe I'd question...
I have to ask... has that config been confirmed by PCS or are/would you do that when it arrives?
It's just that given my experience of communications with PCS as well as my flagged 'checking your specifications' messages (and yours too) I just don't know what's what re my order and it's layout...
Hmmm... I don't see how the RGB RAM could flag up as an issue re that 'Checking your specification...' window.
I mean, it wouldn't affect the GPU nor the cooler mentioned in the same paragraph as to affect the GPU the cooler would need to be installed behind the front case fans and so away from...
Same issue I ran into, same case and fan kit, similar sized AiO (I chose the H100i Capellix one) and both similar length and shorter GPU's.
Basically, the case has 6 fan slots, comes with 2 already and the AiO has 2 and/covers 2 slots. That leaves 2 slots and the fan kit has 3 fans. One too...
