That's exactly it. My case is a Corsair 4000D Airflow. Last I checked, a couple of days back, they weren't even in the configurator anymore so I guess that's a lack of stock or PCS don't like the case anymore or... dunno... who knows?
Aside from that, the usual means of testing stock I use...
Tbf on average even the 6800 is a better bet than a 3070 (excluding the RT/DLSS FTW or nothing crowd, of course) but yeah, you're right... redirecting everybody short a 3080 down to a 3070 can only make that card scarcer faster.
And then anyway, what about those folks going for 4K or 1440UW with...
Well, on the one hand it's kind of cool that you got such an email... on the other not cool that there's not such communication for everybody nor more frequently.
42 (workdays or weeks? I'll assume days) isn't the worst I've heard, given that my own build would've been end of June-end of July...
Will check that one out shortly.
It's in the running. A bit pricey and is only Freesync (not Freesync Premium or Pro) but there are some with either Premium or Pro that still don't do HDR well. Also no speakers but a more moderate 1900R curve.
The G5 is looking ok though. No speakers but does...
Looks good, might be an option tbh.
Just a couple quibbles I need to look at. One is that it's reported to have some buggy issues. Another is no onboard speakers. I will need some but don't require the best speakers as I'm half deaf (nothing on right side) but no aid can fix it well (tried some...
From what I've seen, mixing Corsair fans is warned against (by Corsair and their mods etc) but can be done. I think it's a question of which kits with which and how one tweaks aso. Personally, I'd just go for all of one kind to save any more issues than I'd have dealing with a new PC anyway...
Much better... in balance, power and longevity.
Only thing I'd add (and I say this to all ppl going for what they can rn) is adding/saving another £200 could upgrade the 1660S, not far off a 2060 anyway, to a significantly better 3060ti which would kick butt for longer, especially as OP is...
Have you heard of the wonder of 1440 ultrawide?
Most are curved now, and you say you're not a fan of curves (as immersive as they are, honestly) but there are a few good flat ones out there at very decent prices for what you get. Of course, for strictly non-gaming and work stuff, flats are...
There have been issues with Zen 3 and some RAM configs. Best I can glean is it's mainly certain mobo's that don't play well with 4 RAM slots filled (4x8Gb specifically though that might be just what I saw tried)
In trying to find out more I came across a Gamers Nexus vid on most effective RAM...
I would guess it's a no to more specific/custom fan placement.
This is one of the things I actually emailed and asked about myself, as I'm fussy over the build being as I see it (certainly as this is one I'm not building myself) Almost the same idea too... 4000D Airflow case, H100i Elite...
Same here on both counts. Secret Labs Omega chair and bad back (actual ankylosing spondylitis even)
Overall very good, when previous tries of various office-y style chairs didn't work out, better than I might have expected tbh given all the advertising for better chairs at 2-3 times the price...
I remembered seeing those but never had one. My first full GPU was a... come on brain... GeForce 5700 something around 2005. Tbh all I remember was it ran Rome Total War and Doom 3 ok and ran alongside a Pentium 4. This was a year or two after my first PC of any kind really, a Dell Inspiron...
19Gb VRAM usage?!?! Wow.
Funny thing about usage. It was actually my old 1070 (yeah, I know, only GDDR5 etc) using most of it's VRAM at 1080p recently in a certain game already over 3 years old that I'll be playing still for years (and it's sequel that's likely to be even more hungry) Didn't...
Tbh I stopped looking at 3080ti newsflashes a while back as they tended to be debunked/fake news or not relevant to current circumstances.
Even so, is it still projected to be 12Gb VRAM etc or more now? (one item I saw a while back said 16Gb like AMD, only GDDR6X of course) Nm that a lot of tech...
In answer to the title, almost. I might've but my mind was made already nm that my bank account just couldn't do it.
Well, I wasn't actually going for a 3090 as a quicker option over a 3080 but a 6900XT over a 6800XT, same reasoning though. Must admit that over the long term I'd feel better...
This will be an eventual buy for me. I already have Hitman 1/2 and do like how both games combine to a point. That the missions from 1 are playable in 2 along with whatever improvements feature in 2. It's kind of like how Total War: Warhammer 1/2 work with the Mortal Empires campaign (though...
I've actually had DA: Origins for a few years now. Got the complete edition for under a tenner, just haven't played yet due to no controller support (yes, I'm one of those ppl, a cackhanded keyboardist if you like) but I found ways around that recently.
I also tried DA: Inquisition (on EA Play...
