They have redesigned the water connection for this generation so leaks, if any, should be a thing of the past. It's still a self sealing quick disconnect but has clips to keep it secure.
Mine has the magnetic coupling and it has never, ever leaked for me.
Please, get the water-cooler for your...
Yeah I was thinking of the X86 side of things. M4 Ultra would be 2 M4 Maxes stitched together, not M4 Pros though I'm pretty sure that's what you meant to say.
Indeed, an M4 Ultra would run circles around it and point and laugh :ROFLMAO:
The point of updating the BIOS is two fold:
Add compatibility with new CPUs coming onto the market - does not apply in laptops as the CPUs are soldered to the motherboard.
Fix something that's broken - bug fixes. Unless a significant issue comes to light there's no need to fix what ain't broke...
In my opinion, the Ryzen 9 AI Max+ 395 would not make sense being paired with a 5090.
This SOC boasts the most powerful iGPU ever seen in a CPU package and uses unified memory shared between the CPU and iGPU. It's meant to go into devices without a dedicated GPU.
It would be nice to see PCS...
With the 13the Gen Recoil it's possible using another SI's BIOS (for example the XMG Neo) if the PCS BIOS does not support it but that will most definitely void your warranty unless you get the blessing of PCS.
With the 14th Gen Recoil the other SI's BIOS might not be compatible anyway so all...
Yeah as Ekans20011 said. Contact the person you bought it from and ask them to transfer the warranty to you. They just need to go into their PCS account and follow a simple procedure.
They will need information like your email address so enable it to happen. I got mine second hand as well and...
The 2025 Recoil 16 has a split motherboard with a proprietary PCI connector between the 2 halves. That allows PCS so select the CPU side and GPU side as required and combine them into the chassis.
This video shows the XMG version, the XMG Neo 16. It's the same device though XMG and PCS might...
I tested mine with and without water.
It almost sounds like a vacuum cleaner if you try running Microsoft Flight Simulator without the water-cooler. And of course that's while throttling to stop it melting. Your AI video production will very likely do the same.
Light to moderate workloads are...
Well that's weird. The exact opposite of what I was suggesting. Yeah you need to talk to PCS.
This would suggest that your docking station supports ThunderBolt and/or Alt-DP then.
