PCSPECIALIST Philips turning the tables for right to repair

I'm absolutely all for this. I would only want caution applied for anything important. What will quickly see this sort of fantastic enterprise fall straight off a cliff is going to be shoddy copies that lead to failure/injury/etc. I have absolutely no doubt that it will be T&C to the high...

    PCSPECIALIST Unable to Reset PC

I had sent the link over with the instructions to try and help with this. Glad you've got it sorted though and well done Matthew :)

PCSPECIALIST AMD RX 9000 Series GPU Reveals

Hopefully they've been burned enough with their poor release strategy and price greed that they now treat the market/customers fairly also. It's the only blemish on AMD at the moment. Their products are great, but they need to make sure corporate greed and manipulation doesn't become their...

PCSPECIALIST Lian Li with some belter new designs

Must have inadvertently had them installed in my PC in the past. Keyboards and controllers have been smashed, clearly a quick burst of gamma rather than an inability to get Lara to safety.

PCSPECIALIST AMD RX 9000 Series GPU Reveals

$50 more than the RRP of the 5060 and well worth it just for the vRAM.

Invisible RGB...... now there's a patent I'd want to see argued :ROFLMAO:

PCSPECIALIST Lian Li with some belter new designs

Big fan of any innovation but I'm really not a fan of that look at all. The aesthetic of those fans isn't good IMO, the bevels look like low quality moulds and it just doesn't look slick at all. It's great that they're doing it and I hope the aesthetic matches the ingenuity, but for me that...

    PCSPECIALIST Unable to Reset PC

They may not be labelled as such during the removal of the partitions. They are typically called Disk0 and Disk1. They are typically identified by their size or the brand. If there is a chance of confusion or losing anything, I would consider disconnecting the non-primary drive until the...

    PCSPECIALIST Unable to Reset PC

The reset doesn't download Windows, it just resets the configuration using the current version of Windows installed. The proper way to do a clean is as above, download onto a USB and clear the partitions on the primary drive (if you have more than one drive exercise caution). There's a more...

    PCSPECIALIST NVidia RTX 5000 series

That pricing is just ridiculous but that market won't bat an eyelid at all  I would hope that the binning was gold standard too so would like to see some numbers from it. How precarious does that connector look to be juicing 50A.

PCSPECIALIST Movie or TV Show Sniper Help - Possible spoilers!

Just reminding me about the show was enough to have me convinced. Strangely, even when I was positive it was shooter, finding the actual episode was still a slog. I swear, search engines aren't what they used to be. Last night I was searching for 3rd bullet, sabotage, sniper rifle, the works...

PCSPECIALIST Movie or TV Show Sniper Help - Possible spoilers!

That's the one. Season 1 episode 9 (approx 36 mins in). I completely forgot there was even a series about that. Just found it again! At least I remembered part of it correctly! This is the one that kept coming up when I was searching. I'm sure I haven't seen it. Is it any good? :D

PCSPECIALIST Movie or TV Show Sniper Help - Possible spoilers!

Ok so I'm looking for a TV or a movie. I was positive it was the Reacher series to be honest but my GF is watching it so I'm thinking I must be mixed up as none of it is ringing true yet. So here is what I remember.... I've googled quite a bit and I'm amazed that I'm not able to find it. I...

PCSPECIALIST Pc did not start correctly

Try a restart to see if that helps. You may have fast start enabled which can cause little gremlins. Having a fast M2 drive makes fast start redundant, it's effectively a hybrid hibernation mode which dumps the RAM to the drive and loads from there. Loading in an old RAM snapshot can have down...

PCSPECIALIST New build specs - CPU Cooling Conundrums

I think you've over-shot some areas (specifically the RAM and the storage is weird). You will definitely want an AIO. What was your thinking with the RAM? Was it to aid the Video production or 3D modelling? Just that you've said "a bit" so I didn't think they would be limited by 32GB. With that...

PCSPECIALIST Please check this for me.

Yeah, there are many options. Remote desktop is the built in option. I use Moonlight and Sunshine (Sunshine is the server, moonlight is the client). The remote desktop limits some resources such as the GPU which Moonlight doesn't so it's better for my uses.

PCSPECIALIST Doom: The Dark Ages just announced

I have all of them available on PS5 so I got a hold of Eternal and stuck it on. I genuinely think my adrenaline spiked playing that game. It's a complete mind rush of a game, overwhelming at times. I've got it on baby mode so that I can enjoy it as my FPS reflexes are absolutely garbage. It's...

PCSPECIALIST Please check this for me.

Yes, this is the thing. At first glance it seems that maxing it out will cover any use case but there are always trade offs to consider. This goes for all aspects. More often than not the trade off is how much it costs vs how much performance you get, but in this case there is a trade off to...

PCSPECIALIST Doom: The Dark Ages just announced

Don't know if I started it tbh  Just dloaded it on the PS5 so will see how I get on. Been playing a it of GT7 of late. The PS5 does some job with that headset btw, unreal.
