That's interesting, I don't think I've ever seen motherboard chipset drivers / etc. updated via Windows before... although its not like I scrutinize my windows updates each time :D everyday is a school day!

Its not something I can answer unfortunately, I don't own one of the laptops myself. If someone else see's this and has the laptop they might be able to offer some advice. I'd suggest giving PCS a call as they will be able to explain how the process works. Failing that, you'd get a manual etc...

Do you have your specs from your order page you can share? Does anything appear on the screen at all during boot up? You can Try pressing delete or one of the F keys (F1, F2, F11 or F12 usually) to see if it boots into a bios.

If you can't find the version of control center on your PCS homepage login (downloads section), I'd give PCS a call to discuss it as they may have a workaround/solution. Whilst I can't speak for them, I'd think this won't affect your warranty as you could have performed all those maintenance...
